Meadows Layered Dress

Crafted from 100% cotton fibers and natural materials, the Meadows Layered Dress combines hand-painted Mulmul and undyed & unbleached Kala cotton. 

The first layer features a sheer Mulmul shirt with abstract hand-painted brushstrokes, detailed with Kantha embroidery, double collars, and cuffs. The natural dyes- indigo, iron and marigolds collected from temples- bring a subtle yet striking palette.

The second layer is a flared dress, designed with inverted pleats and side pockets. Its deep V-neck reveals the Mulmul shirt beneath, creating a layered look.The two separates in this ensemble, give the option to be paired with other pieces from one’s wardrobe, making it truly versatile.

Fabric: MulMul Cotton and Kala Cotton. Mulmul Cotton is a fine variety of cotton which has a soft, fluffy and good texture, it makes for airy, transparent, light and extremely comfortable cotton fabrics. Kala Cotton, which is an indigenous, organic crop thrives in the rain-fed lands of eastern Kutch, Gujarat.Please note that this fabric is hand spun, hand woven using traditional weaving techniques, so may vary in colour and texture.
